Greater Mission

CarrieRae and her husband, GySgt Jeff Shilanski, USMC/Retired, started a peer support non profit in 2020 called FOB Rasor. Forward Operating Base Rasor is a suicide prevention community which focuses on mental health for Veterans & First Responders living with PTSD, mental illness, suicidal thoughts, and drug and alcohol addiction. The majority of Veterans served are service disabled veterans.

FOB Rasor focuses on a 12 step process of recovery for whatever ails them. It is peer support based on shared experiences and mentor-ship. Peer support is recognized by SAMHSA as effective for improving mental health, especially with Veterans. This is not a medically based program and is recommended for life long sustainable mental health.
